About Me
Hi, I'm Teacher Thea!
Language learning is a journey of transformation—just like the mythical phoenix, every student has the power to rise, grow, and shine in their own unique way. No two learners are the same, and that’s what makes teaching so rewarding!
With six years of teaching experience, both online and in-person, I have worked with learners of all ages and backgrounds, from young children building their first sentences to professionals refining their fluency. My lessons are interactive, engaging, and tailored to each student’s needs—whether it’s phonics, grammar, pronunciation, creative writing, or exam preparation for Cambridge, Trinity, or IELTS.
I am a native British English teacher with a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing, as well as TEFL and TESOL certifications. My background in theatre gives me a keen ear for pronunciation, and I use that expertise to help students speak naturally and confidently. I also accommodate both British and American spellings, ensuring my students develop flexibility in their English usage.
I have experience with multiple curriculums and, most importantly, I tailor my lessons to suit each individual student. I believe that when students feel comfortable learning, they are more willing to face challenges without doubt—and soar. At the same time, I am always growing myself, continuously learning how to improve and provide the best experience for my students.
Above all, I believe in fun, supportive, and student-centred lessons where learning happens naturally and confidently. Together, we celebrate progress, embrace challenges, and create a space where English is not just learned—it’s truly lived.
Wherever you are in your language journey, you have the potential to soar. Let’s rise together!
